Rochester Grrlz 
Rochester
Grrlz is for and about transgendered ‘grrlz’ who happened to be
born male but identify either in part or whole as a female. This
includes transsexuals, transvestites, crossdressers and any other
category that can be hung on those of this description. Our primary
function is to get together in real time for social events,
friendship, advice, sharing of makeup tips, shopping alerts and
anything that makes existence more fun.
Rochester Trans Group
RTG is an all inclusive, transgender social/educational group in Rochester for all gender variant individuals and allies ages 18+. The group operates in affiliation with the Gay Alliance, with meetings at the Gay Alliance Youth Center at the Auditorium Center, 875 East Main Street, Rochester NY . RTG is lead by Pam Barres, Shauna O'Toole and Maur Delaney.The group's mission is part educational, with scheduled speakers, films, etc.; and part social where members have a chance to connect with each other and share information. All gender variant people and their friends are welcome.
Tangent
Tangent is the forum for transgender, genderqueer, and non-binary members of the RIT community. Tangent provides a safespace for mutual support and discussion. Events include social outings such as bowling and clothing exchanges.Meetings are Wednesdays, 8–9 PM in the Reading Room in the Student Life Center. Contact transrit@gmail.com for more information.
Trans Youth Group
The Trans Youth Group is a support group for transgender youth (ages 13–23) run by AIDS Care and the Gay Alliance Youth Program. Meetings are the first Thursday of the month from 6–7 PM in the Gay Alliance Youth Center (first floor of the Auditorium Center).
